The USB 2.0 Ranger 442 extenders represent a significant milestone in the USB market. Powered by patented ExtremeUSB technology, the USB 2.0 Ranger 442 is a four port, Class A device which extents host computer and peripheral connections up to 500m/1640ft over multimode optical fibre. Fiber Optic cables OPTIONAL - uses: Multimode Glass 62.5/125 LC to LC Duplex cables.
USB Ranger products are composed of two separate units: the Local Extender (LEX) and the Remote Extender (REX). Conventional USB cables are used to connect the LEX unit to the host computer and to connect one or more remote USB devices to the REX unit. The USB 2.0 Ranger 442 extenders require power at both the LEX and REX units.
