The SD-502 GPS Receiver offers a solution for PDAs and Smartphones users that have the SDIO NOW technology in their devices to provide both GPS functionality and data storage within a single peripheral. This is especially convenient when the host device has a limitation of a single SDIO slot and internal memory is limited.
With 512MB of on-board memory, the SD-502 is able to store map data (or any other data you may have) in a small compact unit. No additional power source is required to operate the SD-502 as power is derived from the SDIO slot itself using the host battery.
Having a low power consumption, the SD-502 can operate for several hours from a fully charged battery on the host device or if in a vehicle, when the host is being charged from a vehicles 12V cigarette lighter.
The SD-502 utilizes the SiRF III GPS chipset for greatest accuracy and sensitivity with more rapid time to gain a fix from GPS satellites.
Please verify if your device uses "SDIO NOW" technology, as not all SD slots are SDIO NOW.
