Opticis optical USB extension cable 50 meter / 164 feet. Complete optical electronic isolation with remote power. The M2-100-50 allows a PC user to locate USB peripherals up to 164 feet (50 meters) from the processor with a simple and easy to install USB cable. Works fine on all USB 2.0 host system ports at USB 1.1 speeds.

The modules have a pair of an optical-to-electrical and an electrical-to-optical converters at each end, connected by 2 stranded fiber-optic cables. Ideal for both Windows and Mac or Linux (only) workstations and server farm control rooms, the M2-100-50 comes with a universal AC/DC remote power adapter to power the downstream pod.
With an upstream type A-plug and downstream type A-receptacle, it is a plug n' play connection that has the USB camera, scanner, or printer online and running almost immediately. There is no special software required - the cable emulates a generic USB hub - no software or drivers required.
