Opticis Review |

Optical HDMI Extension Module Fiber-optic interconnection of digital audio/video HDTV data, complying with HDMI enables long-distance transmission of crystal clear quality data of integrated HDTV systems. The HDMI is an industry standard of digital audio/video transmission protocol, supporting TMDS (Transit Minimized Differential Signal) graphic transmission and implementing DDC (Display Data Control) for CPU to identify displays and fulfill encryption/decryption for HDCP (High Definition Contents Protection). |

Optical USB Extension Module
for Windows and Macintosh
Optical USB Extension, structured by bi-directional VCSEL/PD modules supports USB1.1 (12Mbps) and extends up to 45 meters without additional hub or repeater. It offers compelling benefits to isolate electrically the connected USB devices from the controllers in pure-fiber USB model, M2-100. |

Optical USB Hybrid Extension Module
This model uses Hybrid Fiber cables so as to run DC power
from the host side to the downstream module through the power
cables bundled in the Hybrid fiber cable. M2-20x having A plug
to A receptacle and M2-21x having A plug to B plug are all
available according to USB device connectors. |

Optical FireWire Repeater Module
Optical IEEE1394 Firewire Repeater (M4-200) is fully in compliance with IEEE1394b-2002 and supports up to 800Mbps data rate with electrical bilingual ports or over optical extension of IEEE 1394 packet data, being extensible up to 500 meters. It offers various application in such as machinery vision, music auditorium and studio network, surveillance and industry controls. |

Optical HDMI Repeater Module
In consumer audio/video area surrounding HDTV, mainly the HDMI connectors have been adopted to electrical devices such as various HDTV panels and DVDPs or media converters. The HDMI copper cables would in general transmit 1080i data up to around 10m. Opticis offers fiber-optic HDMI extension product, which transmits even 1080p HDTV data (double bandwidth of 1080i) over 100m. It functions converting post HDCP (High Definition Contents Protection) encryption electrical TMDS into optical data at the front end of sources and vice versa at the front end of displays. |

Optical DVI Extension Module
Digital graphic interconnection by DVI, supervised in DDWG
keeps enlarging its adoption in digital displays such as TFT
LCD panels, PDP, projection, beam projectors and LED signboards,
being applied regardless for PC monitors and digital TVs. Digital
extension gives many benefits in crystal clear quality of displays
and cost savings due to no use of A/D and D/A in systems and
displays. Nonetheless, longer extension and less emission environments
in many applications require fiber-optic solutions. Opticis
is delivering various product types suitable to applications.
They can simply extend over the limits of copper wire extension
without any distribution amplifier or repeater. |

VCSEL Transceivers |
 |
Opticis VCSEL transceivers support Gigabit Ethernet / InfiniBand (1.25Gbps/2.5Gbps) and Fibre Channel (1.06Gbps/2.125Gbps), and are offered in 1x9 SC and MSA (Multi Source Agreement) 2x5 LC receptacle types. Especially uniquely designed wire-latch mechanism helps SFP transceivers being plugged/unplugged in a way of ease. Oxide 850nm VCSELs and PIN-PDs inside are designed in so that the transceivers secure sufficiently wide eye openings for high-speed transmission. They are applicable for SAN (Storage Area Network) switches and controllers, High-end servers, SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) servers and Network Interfaces Cards. |
