Opticis Model M1-201-TR is DVI to DVI using four (4) detachable fiber connectors (2 cable sets) using any multi-mode cabling (no DDC2B support). Uses industry standard 50 / 125 or 62.5 / 125 multimode fiber optic with LC connectors available in lengths to 200 meters (custom lengths to 500 meters) or factory pre-made in 18 meter, 31 meter or 46 meter lengths.
M1-201 products are so designed as to install simply in sites passing through conduits by taking LC receptacles for cables to be detachable, most popular in the market of fiber-optic communication. For this purpose, thus the product adopts two duplex LC patch cord fibers to transmit only 4 channels graphic data, but not supports any physical DDC interconnection.
To dismantle any difficulty to be foreseen by no DDC communication, instead of the real DDC connection, M1-201 implements virtual DDC function, a unique Opticis feature that allows the EDID parameters factory programmed inside the transmitter housing, to be sent to the video card at start-up.
In addition, a handful size of modules makes users carry in a pocket and no use of any electric wires gives electrical isolation between the source and display ends.
Two AC/DC power adaptors are shipped together in the shipping group to be flexibly applied according to the availability to supply DC power from video cards.
