Newnex 9-pin 1394b cables work at FireWire 800 performance levels (up to 80 MBytes per Second) when used with 9-pin connected FireWire 800 equipped host controllers and 9-pin connected FireWire 800 Hubs and Repeaters. These cables also work at FireWire 400 performance levels (up to 40 MBytes per Second) when connected to any 4-pin or 6-pin connected FireWire 400 device on either end of the cable.
