DDFX-100-TR Dual-Link DVI Fiber Extender | WQXGA 60Hz, 500m LC

The Opticis DDFX-100-TR is a dual-link DVI optical extender designed to transmit uncompressed, high-resolution DVI video over long distances using fiber optic cabling. It supports WQXGA (2560×1600) at 60Hz and WQUXGA (3840×2400) at 33Hz, making it ideal for medical imaging, control rooms, film production, and high-resolution visualization systems where signal integrity is non-negotiable.

Using two (2) LC multimode fibers, the DDFX-100-TR extends Dual-Link DVI signals up to 500 meters (1,640 feet) on OM2/OM3 fiber and up to 300 meters (984 feet) on OM1 fiber. This eliminates the distance and EMI limitations of copper DVI cables without requiring distribution amplifiers or repeaters.

The extender features a compact die-cast aluminum enclosure designed for direct attachment to PCs and displays. The rugged metal housing provides excellent EMI shielding and heat dissipation, making it suitable for electrically noisy or industrial environments.

To simplify installation and ensure compatibility across different display resolutions, the DDFX-100-TR includes Self-EDID management, allowing EDID data to be read directly from the display and stored in the transmitter before installation. This prevents resolution negotiation issues in complex AV deployments.

The transmitter supports auto power switching, drawing power from the DVI port when available or falling back to an external +5V adapter. The receiver is powered via +5V DC. Clear LED indicators provide instant feedback on power and signal status.
