The Opticis DPFC-200D is a detachable DisplayPort 1.2 active optical cable (AOC) engineered to transmit uncompressed 4K (4096×2160) at 60Hz video over long distances of up to 100 meters (328 feet) using plenum-rated or LSZH hybrid fiber cable. It delivers pristine image quality with zero compression and zero latency, making it ideal for professional AV environments where signal integrity matters.
Unlike standard copper DisplayPort cables, the DPFC-200D uses active optical technology to overcome distance limitations while preserving full RGB and YCbCr 4:4:4 color fidelity. This allows reliable long-distance DisplayPort connections without repeaters or external extenders.
The detachable connector design separates the DisplayPort connector head from the cable body, simplifying conduit pulls and tight-space installations. This modular construction provides a slim, lightweight installation experience similar to copper cables, but with fiber-optic performance and immunity to EMI/RFI.
For compatibility with devices that provide limited DisplayPort bus power, an optional USB power cable can be supplied for the TX and/or RX side to ensure stable operation with non-standard sources or displays. The DPFC-200D also supports Multi-Stream Transport (MST), enabling DisplayPort daisy-chaining and multi-display configurations where supported by the source and display devices.
