The Opticis DPFX-100-TR is a compact DisplayPort 1.1 optical extender designed for professional AV, medical imaging, and control room environments that require long-distance DisplayPort transmission with complete electrical isolation.
Using two LC multimode fiber links (50/125 µm) between the transmitter and receiver, the DPFX-100-TR extends WQXGA (2560×1600) @ 60Hz and 4K (3840×2160) @ 30Hz DisplayPort signals up to 200 meters (656 feet) with no compression, no scaling, and no latency. The fiber-only connection eliminates EMI and ground-loop issues, making it ideal for electrically noisy or safety-critical installations.
The system provides a total bandwidth of 10.8 Gbps (2.7 Gbps per lane) and supports auxiliary channel communication, ensuring stable link training and display handshaking. For flexible installation, each module features a DisplayPort receptacle and includes short DP copper cables to accommodate tight spaces and varied connector orientations.
Power can be supplied either via the included USB-to-DC cables or the bundled 5V DC adapters, allowing easy deployment in racks, behind displays, or inside equipment enclosures without dedicated power infrastructure.
