The Opticis DPX-1F14A-TR is a high-performance DisplayPort 1.4 one-fiber optical extender designed to transmit up to 8K UHD (7680×4320) video at 60Hz using Display Stream Compression (DSC) over long distances via a single LC multi-mode fiber (OM3).
Capable of extending DisplayPort 1.4 signals up to 300 meters (984 feet), the DPX-1F14A-TR delivers full 32.4Gbps bandwidth (8.1Gbps per lane) while maintaining transparent, uncompressed signal behavior from the system’s perspective.
A defining feature of this model is Smart Aux, Opticis’ advanced auxiliary channel management technology. Smart Aux improves system stability by managing DisplayPort AUX channel communication, automatically maintaining video settings and resolution even after events such as cable disconnection, reconnection, or power cycling. This significantly reduces troubleshooting time and minimizes display handshake issues in complex AV environments.
For installation flexibility, the extender supports up to 3 meters of copper extension on both the transmitter and receiver sides, enabling deployment in confined or thermally sensitive spaces where direct fiber termination is impractical. The unit transmits stable video even when copper extensions are used as intermediaries.
