The Opticis DVDF-200 is a DVI to 1-fiber DVI converter that takes a standard DVI source and converts it into a single-core optical DVI signal for long-distance transmission over fiber.
Designed for demanding AV and industrial installs, DVDF-200 supports uncompressed video up to WUXGA (1920×1200) @ 60Hz and extends the signal up to 500 meters (1,640 feet) over one (1) SC multimode fiber. At the far end, pair it with the Opticis DVFX-100-RX receiver to recover electrical DVI for the display.
To simplify setup across different displays and resolutions, DVDF-200 includes Self-EDID programming. It can read the EDID from the target display and store it in the converter so the source sees the correct display capabilities. A WUXGA EDID is preloaded at the factory as the default.
For on-site confidence checks, DVDF-200 also provides a DVI loop-through output for a local monitor while the optical link feeds the remote display.
