The Opticis HDCX-100 is a compact HDMI 2.0 HDBaseT extender designed to transmit 4K UHD video, USB 2.0, and RS-232 control over a single CAT5e or CAT6 Ethernet cable. With a maximum extension distance of 100 meters (328 feet), it provides a simple, cost-effective solution for long-distance AV and control signal distribution.

Supporting HDMI 2.0 video up to 4K at 60Hz (YCbCr 4:2:0) and 4K at 30Hz (4:4:4), the HDCX-100 maintains compatibility with modern UHD sources while adhering to HDBaseT bandwidth constraints. It fully supports HDCP 1.4 / 2.2, CEC, EDID, and 3D video pass-through, ensuring reliable interoperability with a wide range of HDMI devices.

In addition to video, the HDCX-100 extends USB 2.0 for HID devices, touch panels, mass storage, and virtual COM ports (VCP), as well as RS-232 control, making it suitable for KVM applications, control rooms, digital signage, and interactive installations.

The transmitter and receiver share the same compact mechanical design, allowing flexible mounting in tight spaces. Installation is straightforward using standard RJ45 terminations, with plug-and-play operation and no configuration required.
