Opticis M1-201SA-TR DVI Optical Extender | WUXGA 60Hz, 500m over Fiber

The Opticis M1-201SA-TR is a four-fiber detachable optical DVI extender designed to transmit uncompressed WUXGA (1920×1200) video at 60Hz over long distances using a pair of duplex LC multi-mode fiber connections.

Capable of extending DVI signals up to 500 meters (1,640 feet), the M1-201SA-TR overcomes the physical limitations of copper DVI cabling while maintaining zero compression, zero signal loss, and full image integrity. This makes it well suited for industrial facilities, medical environments, transportation systems, and large public venues where long-distance, interference-free video distribution is required.

The compact, detachable module design allows the extender to plug directly into DVI sources and displays without modification. Its patent-pending Self-EDID management feature simplifies installation by automatically reading and restoring the display’s EDID into the transmitter, ensuring compatibility across variable-resolution display systems without requiring physical DDC connections.

By using optical transmission for the red, green, blue, and clock channels, the M1-201SA-TR provides complete electrical isolation, eliminating EMI, RFI, and ground-loop issues commonly associated with long copper runs. The system includes clear TX/RX labeling, LED status indicators, and automatic power switching for reliable operation in professional deployments.
