Opticis M1-3R2VI-DU Dual-Link DVI Optical Extender | WQXGA 60Hz, 2km Fiber

The Opticis M1-3R2VI-DU is a stand-alone dual-link DVI optical extender designed to transmit uncompressed WQXGA (2560×1600) video at 60Hz over extreme distances using fiber-optic cabling.

By transmitting two (2) TMDS signals over fiber, the M1-3R2VI-DU extends dual-link DVI signals up to 2,000 meters (6,560 feet) over duplex LC single-mode fiber, or 500 meters (1,640 feet) over duplex LC multi-mode fiber. This makes it ideal for medical imaging, military, aerospace, factory automation, traffic control, and large-scale professional AV installations where high-resolution DVI must be preserved across long distances.

The system consists of stand-alone transmitter and receiver box modules equipped with dual-link DVI-D connectors, enabling direct connection to PCs, media servers, monitors, and projectors. Two duplex LC fiber patch cords carry seven optical channels (RGB ×2 plus clock), ensuring full dual-link signal integrity with no compression or quality loss.

For simplified installation and compatibility, the extender features patent-pending Self-EDID management, allowing EDID information to be read from the display and restored to the transmitter without requiring a physical DDC connection. The system complies with DDC/HDCP, supports plug-and-play operation, and delivers complete electrical isolation with negligible EMI/RFI emissions.
