The Opticis M2-100 series is a USB 1.1 all-fiber optical extension cable designed to extend USB connections far beyond the limits of copper cables. It supports reliable point-to-point USB extension up to 40 meters (130 ft) without repeaters, hubs, or software drivers.
By converting USB electrical signals to optical transmission at the source and back to electrical at the device, the M2-100 provides complete galvanic isolation, eliminating ground loops, EMI/RFI interference, and electrical noise. This makes it especially suitable for industrial, lab, medical, and surveillance environments where signal integrity and electrical safety matter more than vibes.
The M2-100 operates as a true plug-and-play USB extension cable with USB-A plug to USB-A receptacle ends. No drivers. No configuration. No “have you tried rebooting the cable” rituals. It simply behaves like a very long USB cable that does not hate you.
