The Opticis SVDF-200 is a single-format fiber-optic video converter that accepts S-Video or Composite inputs and converts them into a single-core optical DVI signal for long-distance transport over fiber.
It is designed for SD sources using NTSC/PAL (480i/576i). SVDF-200 upscales SD input to SXGA (1280×1024) @ 60Hz for the remote DVI display path, enabling stable long-run delivery in environments where copper cabling is impractical or noisy.
SVDF-200 automatically operates based on the first incoming input (S-Video or Composite), and provides the matching loop-through output (S-VIDEO OUT or COMPOSITE OUT) for convenient on-site monitoring at the source. For the remote endpoint, pair it with the Opticis DVFX-100-R receiver to convert the optical DVI back to electrical DVI for the display.
