The Unibrain Fireboard800-e™ V.3 is a FireWire 800 (IEEE 1394b) PCI Express host adapter designed to bring high-performance FireWire connectivity to modern desktop systems. Built on the proven Texas Instruments XIO2213B PCIe-to-1394b OHCI controller, this card delivers stable, low-latency performance for professional AV, industrial, and legacy hardware workflows.
Featuring two external bilingual 9-pin FireWire ports, the Fireboard800-e V.3 supports 100 / 200 / 400 / 800 Mbps transfer rates and remains fully backward compatible with FireWire 400 (IEEE 1394a) devices. This makes it ideal for connecting legacy cameras, audio interfaces, capture devices, storage enclosures, and industrial equipment that still rely on FireWire.
